Driven by crude oil, the price of some polyester raw materials rose last week, but in the face of the price increase, terminal weaving companies did not buy it to a high degree.
Last week, the average domestic polyester filament production and sales were 40%, down 18% from last week. The focus of polyester filament transactions remained stable, the market moved sideways, and downstream users were increasingly resistant to high prices. They just needed to purchase, but polyester filament production and sales were flat.
Polyester filament prices and production and sales show an inverse trend. Polyester filament yarns have been consolidating at a high level this week, resulting in poor inquiries from downstream users, lackluster market buying, and a decline in the overall production and sales rate.
As of last week, POY factory inventory was at 30.4 days, the same as the previous period; FDY factory inventory was at 24.8 days, +0.4% from the previous period; DTY inventory was at 26.1 days, -4.04% from the previous period.
