Polyester Staple Fiber, abbreviated as PSF, is discontinuous short fiber made of polyethylene terephthalate (PET). It is manufactured by melt-spinning PET chips, followed by drafting, crimping and fixed-length cutting, with mainstream lengths of 32mm, 51mm and 64mm. PSF can be virgin fiber from petroleum chemical raw materials or recycled fiber reproduced from waste PET plastic bottles.
