Non-Siliconized Polyester Staple Fiber
Non-Siliconized Polyester Staple Fiber is ordinary polyester staple fiber without silicone oil coating on fiber surface. Produced from virgin PET chips or recycled PET flakes through melt spinning, drafting, crimping and cutting, it retains a natural slightly rough surface rather than the slippery texture of siliconized fiber.
It boasts high tensile strength, stable crimp retention, low static accumulation during textile processing and excellent cohesive force between fibers. Common specifications range from 0.9D to 15D in fineness, with staple lengths of 32mm, 38mm, 51mm and 64mm. Ideal for ring spinning, open-end spinning and non-woven production, it is widely used in blended yarn, filter cloth, geotextiles, carpet base cloth and needle-punched fabrics. It is highly cost-effective and fits large-scale textile mass production.

1. Definition & Production
Non-Siliconized Polyester Staple Fiber is a mainstream polyester staple fiber that omits the silicone softening finishing procedure after fiber forming. Raw materials include new PET chips and recycled bottle flakes certified by GRS. The manufacturing process includes high-temperature melting, filament extrusion, stretching, crimp setting and fixed-length cutting. Unlike siliconized PSF covered with silicone lubricant, its surface keeps the original polyester texture, which is its most distinctive feature.
2. Core Characteristics
Strong fiber cohesion: The non-smooth surface enables tight bonding between fibers, greatly reducing fiber slippage during carding and spinning, lowering yarn breakage rate and improving yarn evenness;
Good processing adaptability: Less prone to silicone residue accumulation on textile machinery equipment, effectively avoiding roller contamination, equipment sticking and later printing & dyeing defects;
Stable physical performance: Outstanding tensile strength, anti-deformation property and long-lasting crimp structure, good acid and alkali resistance, mildew resistance and dimensional stability;
Lower comprehensive cost: No extra silicone oil consumption in production, more economical than siliconized fiber for large industrial procurement;
Controllable static electricity: Appropriate oiling agent ensures normal spinning operation without excessive static trouble.
