In 1953, the United States produced polyester fiber under the trade name Dacron. Subsequently, polyester fiber has been rapidly developed in various countries in the world. In 1960, the international output value of polyester fiber surpassed polyacrylonitrile fiber, and in 1972 it surpassed polyamide fiber to become a type of synthetic fiber.
