Textile is still in the off-season, raw material procurement is cautious.
In July, new cotton production is expected to be reduced, and domestic cotton prices maintain an upward trend. However, the textile industry is still in the off-season, demand is weak, yarn sales are still deserted, and some small and medium-sized enterprises have shut down due to increased losses and increased inventory. At the same time, with the release of the reserve cotton rotation and the announcement of the sliding tax quota increase policy, enterprises wait and see, and the willingness to purchase raw materials has declined. According to the survey of more than 90 designated textile enterprises nationwide by the China Cotton Early Warning System, the output of textiles this month continued to fall month-on-month, and the inventory of raw materials decreased.
1. The output of textiles decreased month-on-month. The off-season characteristics of the textile market deepened this month. The overall orders of large and medium-sized enterprises were half a month to one month, and the production was relatively normal. Small and medium-sized enterprises had fewer orders, increased losses, and increased inventories. Some shutdowns occurred, and the overall consumption Cotton and textile production fell. This month's output decreased by 2.1% compared with the previous month, and was still 4.6% higher than the same period last year, of which: pure cotton yarn accounted for 53.4%, a decrease of 0.5 percentage points from the previous month; blended yarn and chemical fiber yarn accounted for 46.6% , an increase of 0.5 percentage points from the previous month. Cloth output decreased by 2.5% month-on-month and increased by 2.8% year-on-year, of which: the proportion of pure cotton cloth decreased by 0.4 percentage points compared with the previous month; the sales rate of yarn was 69%, a decrease of 1 percentage point from the previous month. At present, the yarn inventory of textile enterprises is 23.22 days, an increase of 1.24 days from the previous month; the inventory of gray cloth is 39.03 days, an increase of 0.16 days from the previous month.
2. The price of domestic and foreign cotton yarns rose slightly this month. The average price of domestic 32 pure cotton yarns in July was 23,976 yuan/ton, an increase of 59 yuan or 0.25% from the previous month, and a decrease of 2,509 yuan from the same period last year. A decrease of 9.47%; the average price of imported 32-count pure cotton yarn in July was 24,141 yuan/ton, an increase of 42 yuan or 0.17% from the previous month, and a decrease of 3,200 yuan or 11.7% from the same period last year.
Since July, some textile enterprises with low cotton inventory have still replenished their inventory in a small amount due to production needs. Most downstream textile enterprises have insufficient acceptance of high cotton prices. As of July 31, the cotton industrial inventory of textile enterprises in the library was 768,500 tons, a decrease of 53,700 tons from the previous month, and an increase of 190,400 tons year-on-year. Among them: 39% of enterprises reduced cotton inventory, 16% increased inventory, and 45% remained basically unchanged.
