2023 Polyester Production Capacity Surge

  In recent years, the polyester market has been steadily increasing, and 2023 is the year with the highest expansion of the polyester industry chain, setting a new record for increased production capacity.
  According to market news, the total production capacity of polyester in 2023 reached 79.465 million tons, of which 9.81 million tons of new production capacity (30 new polyester units), 2.84 million tons of long-term shutdown units, and 2.03 million tons of old production capacity were eliminated. However, there will still be multiple delayed new units put into operation in 2024, and it is expected that the new polyester production capacity will reach 9.46 million tons throughout the year.
